Small 5 Cents

Small 5 Cents

For those who didn’t know, the Royal Mint (London) struck the first Canadian 5 cents, which were entirely of silver between 1858 and 1922. ┬áThese coins were consistent with the US decimal 10 cent coins, therefore, Canadian 5 cent pieces were the size of a dime during these years, hence their name “small” or “tiny” 5 cents. These pieces are always a joy to see in someone’s collection, and for those coin collectors looking to complete their collections, we may have just what you are looking for. ┬áContact us via the contact button at the top of the page.
